HOW TO MAKE A BOTTLE FOUNTAIN

 

 

You'll need :

- ink for paint

- glass bottle with screw top

- drinking straw

- playdough

- large bowl

How to make:

1. Remove the screw top from the glass bottle and make a hole in it with a pair of scissors.

2. Half fill the bottle with water containing a few drops of ink. Screw the top on as tightly as possible.

3. Push the straw through the hole. Press playdough around it to seal up the hole. Put a plug of playdough in the end of the straw.

4. Put the bottle in a large bowl and fill it up with hot water. Leave it for a few minutes. What happens to the bottles water?

The hot water in the bowl warms the air in the bottle. As the air is warmed, it expands and pushes the water up the straw and out in a spary.
